Have you ever wanted to help support others in their recovery while also being in a healing environment for yourself as well?
Do you believe in the value of creating not just a safe space, but a brave space where group members can encourage each other to lean into the discomfort of healing, practice making changes, and challenge themselves to take steps towards growth?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you might be a good fir for a volunteer peer facilitator role with Remix Recovery!
What You Receive in Training
- Four hours of training
- Remix Recovery model, group structure, and format
- Basic group facilitation skills
- Remix Recovery Peer Facilitator Certificate
- Allows you to cover or facilitate a Remix Recovery group
- Assistance in securing a group meeting space
- At a location, day, and time that is convenient for you!
- Remix Recovery Books and Marketing Supplies
- If funding permits
- At no cost to you
- Ongoing coaching and mentorship
- To help you continue to learn and develop your skills
- To effectively navigate complex or challenging issues that arise in the group
Other Information to Note
- Remix Recovery Facilitators are ONLY certified to facilitate Remix Recovery support groups
- Remix Recovery groups are not therapy, they are peer-led support groups
- We ask that you attend three group sessions before facilitator training so you can truly get a sense if you’d like to commit to being trained and starting a group. This also gives you a chance to start engaging with our community and get a feel for the Remix Model
- Required monthly Remix Recovery Peer Facilitator meetings will take place every 4th Wednesday from 6-7pm via Zoom. Certified Peer Facilitators are expected to attend every meeting, but MUST attend a minimum of one per quarter to maintain certification
- Peer Facilitators are encouraged to participate in the group process just as any other member!
